An engraved plate from [i]The illustrated London news[/i], November 13th, 1858, illustrating seven features of historic interest around Enfield Town: 1. Remains of the old church; 2. Raleigh's house; 3. Uvedale's cedar; 4. The market cross; 5. The chantry school; 6. The Town House; 7. Room in the Palace. The text on the reverse, page 449, contains a report (truncated) of a meeting of the London and Middlesex Archaeological Society held in Enfield on 20th October 1858.
